I have a few things to post but for now I thought I’d share our Chrismas letter!
During this season our joy runs over for all that God has done in our lives in 2010. This year we are thankful for Rheanna being blessed with a job affording us the opportunity to avoid using daycare; for Jon’s job constantly providing in a tough economic climate; and for our family and friends. We are especially thankful for the gift of life found in our beautiful little girl Eva Marie. She is a blessing to us more than words could ever describe. But most of all we are thankful for our loving and faithful God who continues to reveal Himself to us.
It’s our belief that during this time of year God moves all of us eventually to a place where we are reminded of the Person responsible for all the “Happy Holidays”, the white or multi-colored lights adorning a tree, the gifts found under it, and the carols we can be caught singing over and again. And it’s our prayer that this year we all might rediscover that we celebrate Christmas because Jesus is real and as the scripture atop this page says, the glory of God in its highest truly came down to the lowest place possible. And even all the wonderful things bestowed upon us and the joys of this Christmas season are but reflections of the real thing. “A child is born, a son is given… and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
May God Bless You with His Peace this Christmas Season!
